Condolence Visit to Hon. Yahaya Lateef

In a solemn demonstration of solidarity and compassion, the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, led a high-powered delegation on a condolence visit to Hon. Yahaya Lateef, Commissioner II of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, following the passing of his beloved mother.

The visit underscored the enduring values of unity, empathy, and shared responsibility that define leadership within Badagry and across Lagos State. It was a moment not only of mourning but also of collective support, as leaders across various tiers of government came together to stand with a colleague in his time of grief.

Accompanying the Executive Chairman were the Executive Chairmen of Badagry West Local Council Development Area, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Yemaren, and Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon. Also present were the Vice Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi; Hon. Bamgbose Hontonyon Joseph, fMHR; the immediate past Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Onilude Segun Adeniran, alongside his wife, Alhaja Ramota Onilude; the Apex Leader, Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi; the Chief of Staff to BLG, Olorunda and Badagry West LCDAs, Mr. Taiwo Towolawi; Mr. Akinyele Cornelius; Mr. Sovi Gusanu; and the Chief Security Adviser, CSP Johnson Adagba (Rtd).

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Hunpe conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the government and people of Badagry. He described the loss of a mother as profound and irreplaceable, acknowledging the emotional weight such a moment carries. He prayed for divine comfort, strength, and fortitude for Hon. Lateef and the entire family during this difficult period.
