Hon. Olusegun Onilude

The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Adeniran Teliat Onilude is an illustrious son of the historic town of Badagry who hails from Ahovikoh Quarter, Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State. He had his primary education at Ansar-ud-een Primary School, Badagry between 1972 – 1978. He proceeded to Baptist Boys’ High School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria for his Secondary education between 1979 – 1984. He left Baptist Boys’ High School to complete his secondary education at Male Comprehensive High School, Igbesa, Ogun State where he sat for his WAEC examination in 1984.

Olusegun Onilude obtained his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from Lagos State College of Education, Otto – Ijanikin now Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education in 1988. He bagged his first degree from Ogun State University, Ago – Iwoye after studying Business Education in 2002. In his quest for knowledge he proceeded to Lagos State University, Ojo where he bagged Master degree in Public Administration (MPA) and Master degree in Educational Management (M.Ed) in 2009 and 2013 respectively.

He started his work career as a classroom teacher at Luwasa High School, Ijede – Ikorodu in 1989. He was posted to Community Secondary School, Ojo in 2001.He was appointed to serve the people of Badagry in administrative capacity of Education Secretary, Badagry Local Government Education Authority in 2005. His diligence and administrative competence earned him a second term as Education Secretary in 2011.

Olusegun Onilude joined active politics in 1998 when he became a member of Alliance for Democracy. He was an ACN aspirant in 2011 election for Badagry Federal Constituency. He is known to be one of the biggest and highly influential political mobilizers in the whole of Badagry Local Government Area. Little wonder he was made Chairman, Committee on Mobilization of Schools, Communities and Civil Servants for 2015 General Election, Lagos.

He has won numerous leadership and excellence awards. He is happily married and blessed with lovely children.
