Badagry APC E-Registration

The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, has formally revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by participating in the partyโ€™s newly launched E-Registration exercise, which has commenced across Lagos State.

By personally taking part in the exercise, Hon. Hunpe once again demonstrated leadership by example, reinforcing the importance of active participation and compliance with party processes at all levels. The registration was carried out at his ward registration centre located at Local Authority Primary School, Iluda Ajara.

The Chairman was joined at the venue by the Member representing Badagry Constituency II and Deputy Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Setonji David, as well as the Apex Leader of the APC in Badagry Local Government Area, Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi, among other party leaders and members.

Speaking shortly after completing the registration process, Hon. Hunpe urged APC members across Badagry to fully embrace the E-Registration exercise, describing it as a critical step toward proper documentation and the strengthening of a credible, transparent, and accountable party structure. He commended the smooth and efficient nature of the exercise, noting that it reflects the partyโ€™s commitment to internal reforms and modernization.

According to the Chairman, the E-Registration initiative aligns seamlessly with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in the areas of institutional strengthening, accountability, and people-centered governance. He emphasized that a reliable and up-to-date membership database is essential for effective planning, fair representation, and inclusive decision-making within the party.

Hon. Hunpe further stressed that the exercise is vital for deepening internal democracy and enhancing grassroots participation, especially at the ward and local government levels where the foundation of the party is built. He described the initiative as a significant milestone in the APCโ€™s efforts to build a more inclusive, progressive, and responsive political structure in Badagry and beyond.

The Council Chairman also called on both existing and prospective members to take advantage of the opportunity to either revalidate their membership or formally join the party. He noted that active involvement and collective ownership remain key to sustaining a strong, united, and forward-looking APC capable of delivering meaningful development to the people.

The commencement of the E-Registration exercise in Badagry has been widely welcomed by party stakeholders as a positive step toward strengthening party cohesion, improving record-keeping, and reinforcing the APCโ€™s commitment to transparency and democratic values at the grassroots.
