In his remarks, Hon. Hunpe warmly welcomed Air Marshal Amosu and his entourage, expressing profound appreciation for their presence and solidarity with the royal family and the people of Badagry. He noted that the attendance of such prominent sons of Badagry and national figures at the palace underscored the deep respect and admiration the late Akran commanded far beyond the shores of Badagry.

The Council Chairman further lauded Air Marshal Amosu for his distinguished service to the nation and for consistently projecting Badagry positively on the national stage. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Badagry Local Government to preserving and upholding the enduring legacy of the Akran, particularly his values of peace, unity, hospitality, and communal harmony.

He described the late Aholu Menutoyi as a man of peace, whose reign was defined by harmony, wisdom, and inclusiveness. According to him, one of the most enduring legacies of the late monarch was not only his personal embodiment of peace but also his consistent promotion of peaceful coexistence through words, deeds, and actions.

Air Marshal Amosu assured the royal family of his unflinching support during this period of mourning and beyond. He urged all those left behind to honour the memory of the late Akran by sustaining his legacy of peace and by continuing to project Badagry as one of the most peaceful and hospitable local governments in Nigeria. He also called on all stakeholders to remain steadfast in upholding peace and unity within the kingdom.

Responding on behalf of the Akran family, Princess Medeyonmi Akran expressed sincere gratitude to Air Marshal Amosu and his entourage for their steadfast support to the late monarch during his reign and for standing by the family at this difficult time. She appealed to all Badagrians to embrace peace, unity of purpose, and collective responsibility as a mark of respect for the Akran and in honour of his enduring legacy.
