The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, fMHR, has extended warm congratulations and heartfelt best wishes to one of Badagry’s most distinguished political leaders and elder statesmen, Chief Olatunde Joseph, the Onisalu and Afobaje of Ilogbo-Eremi Kingdom and APC Apex Leader, Badagry Federation, on the joyous occasion of his 87th birthday.
Speaking on behalf of the Government and the good people of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Hunpe described Chief Olatunde Joseph as a highly respected leader whose decades of selfless service, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the development of Badagry have earned him an enduring place in the hearts of the people.
According to the Executive Chairman, Chief Joseph has consistently demonstrated uncommon dedication to public service, community development, and political leadership. His wealth of experience, wisdom, and fatherly counsel has continued to provide guidance to political leaders, traditional institutions, and community stakeholders, making him one of the most influential figures in the history of the Badagry Federation.
Hon. Hunpe noted that the celebrant’s remarkable journey has been defined by integrity, humility, sacrifice, and an unwavering passion for the peace, unity, and progress of the people. Through his leadership as the Onisalu and Afobaje of Ilogbo-Eremi Kingdom and his longstanding role within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olatunde Joseph has continued to champion values that promote harmony, responsible leadership, and sustainable community development.
He further acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the elder statesman to the growth of democratic governance and grassroots political participation, describing him as a mentor whose influence has positively shaped generations of leaders across Badagry Division.
“As Chief Olatunde Joseph celebrates this remarkable milestone of 87 fruitful years, we join family members, friends, associates, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and the entire people of Badagry in celebrating a life devoted to service, leadership, and humanity,” Hon. Hunpe stated.
