Today, I join the good people of Badagry, family, friends and political associates in celebrating an exceptional leader, committed progressive and distinguished statesman, Hon. Onilude Segun Adeniran, as he attains the remarkable milestone of 60 years.

There are leaders who occupy office, and there are those whose impact transcends it. Hon. Onilude belongs to the latter category. His years in public service have been defined by dedication, humility and an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Badagry. As Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, he pursued grassroots development with a clear understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people, while strengthening the foundations of local governance.

Beyond public office, he has remained a stabilising force within the progressive family, a dependable voice of counsel and a leader whose experience continues to inspire many. As one privileged to serve as his successor, I deeply appreciate the importance of continuity in governance and the contributions of leaders whose sacrifices and vision have helped shape the progress we enjoy today.

His emergence as the APC candidate for the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections is a reflection of the confidence reposed in his capacity, experience and unflinching commitment to public service.

As you celebrate your Diamond Jubilee, I pray that Almighty God grants you good health, wisdom, strength and many more years of impactful service.
