The Badagry Local Government administration led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, fMHR has distributed food palliatives to 600 vulnerable residents across the 10 wards, marking the third phase of the Renewed Hope Food Palliative Programme within the past one month and the sixth edition since the administration assumed office.

Speaking at the programme, Hunpe said the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to responding to the immediate needs of residents, particularly vulnerable groups while providing relief to households facing economic challenges.

Hunpe described the initiative as part of his administration’s people-oriented governance, noting that while palliatives cannot eradicate poverty, they provide immediate relief and ease household burdens. He assured residents of more interventions across education, healthcare, infrastructure, empowerment and social welfare as the administration progresses.

Speaking earlier while delivering the opening remarks, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi reaffirmed the administration’s determination to reach residents across all segments of society through interventions such as cash empowerment and food palliatives, assuring that no one would be left behind.

Other speakers, including Hon. Dr. Doyin Johnson; APC Badagry LGA Chairman, Hon. Gafar Meyon Muritala; Alhaja Kikelomo Ladipo; and High Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi, commended Hon. Hunpe for the initiative and his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of residents.
