The presentation, which took place at the Council Secretariat, Ajara-Badagry, on Tuesday, formed part of activities marking the first anniversary of the administration.

Speaking at the event, Hunpe said the vehicles were provided not merely as official means of transportation, but as operational tools to enable members of his administration to reach communities, engage residents and respond effectively to issues within their respective areas of responsibility.

The Chairman stressed that effective governance requires public officials to be adequately equipped to carry out their responsibilities adding that the gesture was consistent with his administration’s commitment to responsive, people-oriented and development-driven governance.

He said the administration would continue to work within available resources while strengthening collaboration with relevant stakeholders to advance development across Badagry Local Government.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, who witnessed the event, commended Hunpe for what he described as his vision-driven approach to governance.

Alli-Balogun said his observation of the projects commissioned during the anniversary activities reinforced his assessment of Hunpe as a leader with a clear vision and mission, a listening disposition and a strong commitment to the development of the people and the Local Government.

He particularly commended the provision of utility vehicles for members of the administration, noting that the gesture would support their mobility and enable them to discharge their duties more effectively.

Speaking earlier while delivering the opening remarks, the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Benjamin Adagba, described the presentation as a significant step towards strengthening the operational capacity of the Executive Council and enabling its members to serve the people more effectively. He noted that improved mobility would allow members of the administration to maintain closer contact with their respective areas of responsibility, monitor activities and respond more promptly to the needs of residents.

The Council Manager, Mrs. Avoseh-Akwe Senami Oluwakemi, commended the Chairman for his vision and an all-encompassing approach to governance, particularly his attention to the needs of residents and staff across different levels of the Local Government.

She said the administration had demonstrated an effort to simultaneously improve the welfare of the people and provide infrastructure and other interventions capable of adding value to the Local Government.

Also speaking, the APC Badagry LGA Chairman, Hon. Gafar Muritala Meyon, commended Hunpe for what he described as innovative governance, while the APC Apex Leader, Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi, also praised the Chairman for his strides since assuming office.
