The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, fMHR, has reaffirmed his administrationβs commitment to improving education and creating better learning conditions for children across the Local Government.

Hunpe stated this on Monday at the World Teachersβ Day celebration organised by the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Badagry Local Government Chapter, held at St. Thomasβ Primary School, Badagry, where he commended teachers for their dedication and enduring contribution to the development of society.
The Chairman described teachers as critical partners in shaping the future of children, stressing that investment in education goes beyond constructing classrooms to creating environments where pupils can learn, develop their talents and compete confidently in the future.
The commitment, he noted, is reflected in ongoing interventions across public schools, including the comprehensive upgrade of Local Authority Primary Schools I & II, Iluda-Ajara, with an 18-classroom two-storey building, multipurpose sporting hall, lawn tennis court, playground, dining facilities and walkways as well as improvements at Ansar-U-Deen Primary School and Muslim Primary School to provide safer, more functional and conducive learning environments.
Hunpe said his administration would continue to build on these interventions, noting that sustainable development begins with investing in the education and wellbeing of the next generation.
He appreciated Badagry teachers for their service and sacrifice, urging them to remain committed to their profession and the responsibility of moulding young minds.
The Chairman was also presented with an Award of Honour by the Badagry Local Government Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in recognition of his administrationβs strides in the education sector.
