It is with immense joy and pride that I congratulate my brother and partner in governance, Hon. Bankole Mautin Asokere Leader of the Legislative Arm of Badagry Local Government on the successful completion of his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working closely with Hon. Bankole and I have come to admire not only his sound legislative judgment but also his calmness, consistent and unflinching commitment to growth. Even while shouldering the weighty responsibilities of leading our Legislative Arm, he found the discipline to return to the classroom and sharpen his knowledge of public administration a decision that speaks volumes about the kind of leader he is.

This achievement does not surprise those of us who work with him daily. It confirms what we already know: that Hon. Bankole leads not just by position but by example. His pursuit of higher learning, even in the midst of active public service, is the kind of example I want every officer of this administration and indeed every young person watching us to emulate.

I have watched with satisfaction the harmonious relationship between our Executive and Legislative Arms and I have no doubt that the knowledge Hon. Bankole has now acquired will deepen the quality of that partnership and ultimately the quality of governance we deliver to the good people of Badagry.
