𝟏𝟓𝟏 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏,𝟖𝟒𝟎 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬
The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, on Thursday participated in the ongoing BLG/NNPCL/SNEPCo Vision First Plus Health Outreach by undergoing medical screening alongside the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Ajose Peter Kumayon.

The two council chairmen joined hundreds of residents at the outreach venue, where they underwent routine health checks, including vital signs assessment, eye examinations and other medical screenings provided under the programme. Their participation highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare and encouraged residents to take advantage of the free medical services being offered through the outreach.
The programme has continued to record impressive impact, reaching a cumulative 1,840 residents within four days. A total of 1,646 beneficiaries have undergone nursing triage, 1,505 received laboratory services, 1,032 benefited from general medical consultations, while 832 residents accessed specialised eye care services.
Significantly, the outreach has recorded 151 successful eye surgeries, restoring sight and improving the quality of life of beneficiaries, while 1,141 residents have also received free medications through the pharmacy unit.
Speaking after the screening, Hon. Hunpe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and expanding access to quality medical services for residents under the Greater Badagry Rising Agenda.
The Vision First Plus Programme, organised by Badagry Local Government in partnership with NNPCL/SNEPCo and health partners, continues at the Ajara Flagship Primary Health Centre, Mango, Ajara, with more residents expected to benefit from the life-changing intervention before its conclusion.
