The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi today joined dignitaries and Muslim faithful at a special prayer organised by the Lagos State Council of Chief Imams and Ulamaa at the Badagry Muslim Community Praying Ground.

The prayer hosted by the Chief Imam of Badagry Division, Sheikh AbdulHakeem Uwais Akewushola, was the third leg of the series after Ikorodu and Ikeja, with prayers offered for the nation, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Hon. Damilola Sonayon James (DSJ) and all APC candidates.

Speaking through the Vice Chairman, Hon. Hunpe appreciated the Council for the initiative, stressing the importance of prayers to the peace, progress and stability of the nation. He said, “Beyond our efforts and plans, we need the guidance and blessings of Almighty Allah. We therefore join our Muslim brothers and sisters in praying for peace, stability and continued progress in our nation and for wisdom for our leaders and all political candidates as we approach the elections.”

The gathering also offered prayers of thanksgiving for the successes recorded by the APC, while seeking divine wisdom, protection and guidance for the nation and its leaders. In attendance were the Chief Imam of Lagos State and Spiritual Leader of the Lagos Muslim Community, Shaykh (Engr.) Sulaimon Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla; Fadilat Sheikh Abdulrahman Sadalah of Epe Division; Fadheelat Sheikh Seifudeen Ademoritan Ayinla Olowooribi of Ikorodu Division; and Sheikh Kamaruddin Adeola Ilori of Ikeja Division, among other dignitaries.
