The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, has directed that a comprehensive structural integrity test be conducted on a block of stalls at Agbalata Market following an inspection of the facility.

The Chairman issued the directive after observing the condition of the structure during a tour of the market, stressing the need for a professional assessment to determine its structural soundness and ensure the safety of traders and members of the public.

Hon. Hunpe noted that Agbalata markets remain critical economic hubs within the Local Government and that the safety of those who conduct business there cannot be compromised. He explained that the integrity test would provide the technical basis for any remedial work, renovation or other necessary interventions that may be required.

The Council Boss reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining public infrastructure and creating a safe, conducive environment for economic activities to thrive across Badagry.
